1. What FilQk is

FilQk helps hosts find the people missing for a group. It is for gaming sessions.

FilQk does not provide chat, matchmaking, or any communication tools beyond an initial contact message — all further coordination happens on external platforms of the user's choosing (e.g. Discord, Telegram, Steam or LINE). FilQk does not organize or run any sessions.

2. Eligibility

FilQk is intended for users aged 18 and older. FilQk does not perform identity or age verification. Eligibility is based on self-declaration: on the website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old each time you create or join a session; in the Discord bot, you confirm it once, before your first FilQk.

3. User conduct

You are responsible for your own conduct and communications with other users, including on any external platform you use after connecting through FilQk. Other users are responsible for what they say, do or post, on FilQk or on other platforms. FilQk's liability is governed by section 10.

Please also follow our Community Rules. In particular: only record others in voice chat, stream them, or post clips or screenshots with their name or voice if they have given you permission.

4. Arrangements between users

FilQk only helps people find each other to play. FilQk does not check the people involved and is not a party to any arrangement between users.

You make arrangements with other users on your own responsibility. FilQk's liability is governed by section 10. FilQk does not process payments. Please read the safety tips in our Community Rules.

5. No identity checks

FilQk does not verify the identity, age, intentions or reliability of any user. So please be careful when you arrange to play with others. FilQk's liability is governed by section 10.

6. Moderation

When a session is created, its public text fields are checked automatically against a word list based on our Community Rules. If they contain clearly prohibited words, the session is not created, and the host sees the reason at once (a breach of rule 3). This decision is made automatically by the filter, without review by a person. If you think it is wrong, you can object by email to contact@filqk.com; the operator of FilQk then checks the case personally. Sessions with borderline words are published and checked by a person.

Limits: in the Discord bot, a host can have at most 3 open FilQks at the same time. Through the report form, you can send at most 5 reports per hour and report the same session at most once within 24 hours. These limits do not apply to reports of child sexual abuse material (there is only a high cap against automated mass reports). Reports by email are not limited.

Reports: anyone can report a session with "Report this session" on its session page, or by email to contact@filqk.com. Every report is checked personally by the operator of FilQk — promptly, carefully and objectively, against these terms and the Community Rules; there is no automated decision on reports. The result is that the session stays online or is hidden.

If we hide a session, it is no longer publicly visible and nobody can join it any more; a related Discord card shows that the session was removed. Its host receives a short statement of reasons: by email to the address given when the session was created, if there is one and it is still stored, or, for sessions from the Discord bot, as a direct message. It says what was restricted, which rule or which term the session breaks, and how to object (by email to contact@filqk.com). We then check the objection again; if it is justified, we make the session visible again. Anyone who reported the session and gave an email address is told our decision by email.

If there are signs of a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of persons, we inform the competent law enforcement authorities (Art. 18 DSA). We then keep the data concerned, such as the session and the report, beyond the period stated in the Privacy Policy for as long as the authorities need them. In this case, the statement of reasons to the host may be delayed.

7. FilQk on Discord

FilQk can also be used through the FilQk bot on Discord. These terms and the Community Rules apply there too, in addition to Discord's own terms. FilQk is an independent service and not affiliated with Discord.

Server admins decide whether the bot is used on their server and in which channels. They are responsible for their server and may delete FilQk cards at any time. If an admin deletes a card, the session continues on filqk.com, and people can still join it there. A FilQk card can be seen by everyone who can see the channel. FilQk may limit or stop the bot on a server, for example if it is misused.

The bot depends on Discord and may be unavailable at times, for example when Discord is down. Spots are always counted by FilQk, the same way for joins on Discord and on filqk.com.

8. Session data

Sessions and related data are automatically deleted or anonymized after the retention period described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to these terms

FilQk only changes these terms for good reason: for example new or changed features, changes in the law or in court decisions, requirements from authorities, or to stop security problems or misuse.

We inform you about changes in good time before they take effect: on this page, and when you next create or join a session (in the Discord bot before your next FilQk).

Material changes — changes that noticeably affect your rights or obligations — only apply to you once you have agreed to them. Until you agree, you can't create or join new sessions under the new terms.

10. Liability

FilQk is not the organizer of the sessions that come about through FilQk.

FilQk is liable without limitation for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health, and for damage caused by intent or gross negligence of FilQk, its legal representatives or vicarious agents. In all other cases of negligence, FilQk is only liable, also for its legal representatives and vicarious agents, for breaches of essential obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper use of FilQk possible in the first place and on which users may regularly rely — and only up to the typical, foreseeable damage. Liability under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected.

11. Provider, applicable law and contact

FilQk is provided by Evangelos Tsarpelas, Redtenbacherstrasse 1, 90431 Nuernberg, Germany (see the Imprint).

These terms are governed by German law. If you use FilQk as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where you habitually reside remain unaffected.

These terms are available in German, English and Japanese. The German version is authoritative; the other languages are translations.
